Prosthetics is the custom design, fitting, and fabrication of a prosthesis. A prosthesis is an artificial extension that replaces a lost part of the body. Audubon Orthotic and Prosthetic Services provides prosthetic care for lower extremity, upper extremity, and mastectomy needs. Limb loss can result from vascular disease, diabetes, cancer, traumatic injuries, or congenital disorders.
We recognize the importance of providing prostheses that meet individual needs of function, durability, and appearance. We understand the importance and intimacy of each prosthetic socket fit; and we take the time necessary to achieve an optimum socket fit for you. We believe in working together to design a prosthesis that meets and exceeds your expectations.
The Audubon Prosthetic Enhancement Center is in Suite 1 at the Audubon Medical Campus. Our fitting room has a large set of parallel bars for safe walking during the fitting process. For our more active amputees, we have a treadmill which can be used for further analysis of the prosthetic fitting during longer durations and inclined terrain.
